Democratic Socialism

Excessive liberal virtue signaling to compensate for their passive-agressive need to feel superior that is fueled by deep seated white angst shame created by liberal media.

"The vocabulary of the political left is fascinating. For example, it is considered to be 'materialistic' and 'greedy' to want to keep what you have earned. But it is 'idealistic' to want to take away what someone else has earned and spend it for your own political benefit or to feel good about yourself" (virtue signaling) ~ Thomas Sowell
The Liberal Leftist Bible is "The Antifa Handbook" written by Mark Bray, a faculty member at Rutgers University that was suspended for his radical woke ideology.

That book is the "How" for modern Leftist ideology. That's why your benevolent Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison likes to be photographed with it with his patented "smirk".

"The Communist Manifesto" is the "Why".

If you're a so-called Democratic Socialist and don't think you embrace communist ideals, you're a pawn that doesn't know where the world's elite are leading you. Their motto is "You will own nothing, and be happy for it". Just ask Klaus Schwab of the world economic forum. He coined that phrase. He also advocated that the masses should learn to eat bugs.

Your entire Minneapolis City Council is Socialist-Communist for God's sakes (5 are Democratic-socialists, 2 are outright Communists)!
In Minnesota, this is evident by the excessive liberal virtue signaling. And bon apetit on the bug eating!

Most liberals dont read those books, but their masters do. You see, they pick your pet cause, be it lbgtq because you have a gay child, or immigrant because you have an undocumented neighbor you like, or you're  an illegal that wants free stuff, or you have daddy issues and want the government to "take care or you". Or, you like to smoke weed and support legalization of marijuana The list goes on and on, but typically you are really only interested in your single-minded cause. The media and your leaders promote paranoia about those individual causes and advocate division. Eventually, you become radicalized and obsessed with that one driving issue. Blinders ensue on all other liberal nonsense. Where is this approach detailed? The Antifa Handbook. But i didnt read that you exclaim! No but your masters did for you. You are a puppet, but you think you are a noble change maker. Socialist doctrine is as old as the last century. Progressivism is a tired old joke.

SD Fishing "Guide Services" vs. Individual Guides.

You can’t run a guide service on public land for hunting. But you can rape and pillage out fish on public waters and pay nothing back !! Hmmmmmm.  Re: The Outfitter/Guide Bill hit the SD Legislature today. This was spearheaded by the South Dakota Wildlife Federation and carried to the Legislature by Rep DeGroot.

"An Act to provide rulemaking authority for the licensure of fishing guides, hunting guides, and outfitters, and to provide a penalty."

This Bill requires that the GFP Commission develops a guide/outfitter license.

No matter how you feel about this Bill it's important to reach out to your local Legislators and let them know your thoughts. This Bill hasn't been assigned a date for Committe. However, it's never too early to reach out and let your voice be heard!

You sent

I'm okay with Fishing guides working for themselves, but it's the "Guide Services" (like in Chamberlain SD) that brag they have 37 guide boats.  That's killing a publicly shared resource.  I've heard so many people say "I don't take my family fishing in Chamberlain anymore.  It used to be great, now it's all fished out".  That's sad and bad for consistent, every weekend recreation revenue for local businesses.  The same with fishing tournaments -- they come for a weekend, but ruin the fishing for average citizens the whole summer.

Rational Subgroups and Vaccines

I wonder why the so-called "McCullough Foundation" is a Non-profit? I really don't trust ANY non-profit organization. That's my thought. It's all about the data set or what a statistician friend of mine called their "rational subgroup". You can bend statistics all by where you get your data and how it's parsed. These NGO's hire statisticians to massage their data to fit their narrative. I think most established vaccines don't cause bad effects. The mercury or other carrier ingredients may not be good though. Probably some people have adverse reactions to certain ingredients, just like people with peanut allergies. Kids are definitely showing more ADHD and other issues than the past, but are we just more are of them then they were in the past? My daughter says parents just use ADHA as an excuse for bad parenting that she sees in her classroom. I don't know -- what do you think?? I'm not a fan of mRNA vaccines at this point though... And I think Faucci is a criminal

World Economic Forum (WEF)

The problem with the WEF is its a private org, funded by the 0.1%ers to enact an agenda of their choosing.

To carry this agenda out they recruit potential political candidates from most western countries. They train and indoctrinate the successful ones and then assist them into elected office in their home countries. As this has built up its is becoming easier and easier for them to "select" our political leaders. The list is getting big.

In Canada as an example, the former PM Justin Trudeau, the deputy PM Chrystia Freeland, and leader of the NDP Jagmeet Singh are all WEF. Freeland serves on the board. There are about 30 or so more politicians in Canada that have been elected to federal office and are members of WEF.

The second problem with WEF is their agenda is based on an ideology that implies humans must be strictly controlled, access to resources strictly controlled, overall population reduction. Of course, the elite they represent will sit atop this giant pile of human misery they envision.

There are a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding WEF, for sure.  Mainly to do with the Klaus Schwab's "Great Reset" and Covid 19.
Klaus Schwab, founder of the WEF, coined the phrase 'Great Reset' - which he used to refer to the economic changes he believed would be necessary following the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. The main source of these theories is their own statements where they  gleefully state how Covid created a great opportunity to "reshape" society. Thats when they came up with the posters about "You will own nothing and be happy" and a bizarre campaign to get people used to the idea of eating bugs. That kind of action, using a crisis to force an agenda, and the bizarre media ads is ripe for generating conspiracy theories. It almost writes itself.

The more you look around at the really connected wealthy people and groups, the more you start to see this agenda take shape.
Two of the richest firms in the world that most people are completely ignorant about is Blackstone and Blackrock. You can check any number of news stories over the past few years of both buying gigantic swaths of homes in the US. Would you care to guess who the two largest financial investment firms are that fund WEF?
"You will own nothing and be happy" is not so far off.

Who is funding the paid activist groups in Minneapolis?

Who is funding the protests in Minneapolis?
Paid Activist Groups:
• Indivisible Twin Cities
• CAIR (Muslim Brotherhood) Minnesota
• Party for Socialism and Liberation
• Democratic Socialists of America (local chapters) and the Communist Party USA
• Palestinian Youth Movement
Funded By:
Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) network, now run by his son Alex, is a major funder of non-profits large and small, across sectors including democracy, voting rights, climate justice, racial justice, Palestinian rights and higher education. Public documentation of the group’s grant-making shows thousands of worldwide recipients receiving anywhere from small amounts to multimillion-dollar grants, including major non-profit organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union.

The US justice department has reportedly instructed US attorneys to come up with plans to investigate OSF

US Dakota War of 1862.

The Dakota Indians killed 600 settlers. Innocent women, children, babies were raped, mutilated and killed. All because their annuity payment was late (due to the Civil War). Yes, they were starving. Do we now honor starving people that massacre their neighbors (and I mean neighbors only in the literal sense)?

Rob Reiner

If Rob was such a saint, why'd he post that he couldn't wait to wake up and read Trump's obituary and that he wished Trump's attempted assassin had not missed. Pretty heavy stuff. Compared to those posts, Trump's post was somewhat gracious. So let's not be overly dramatic.

Ilhan Omar: Politics, Polygamy and now Massive Fraud.

As a native Minnesotan, I'm not a fan of Ilhan Omar.  Her anti-American sentiment and rhetoric is disgusting. She was elected when Rep. Keith Ellis withdrew at the last moment.  A prescripted cheap political move.

She also "allegedly" married her brother to cheat the immigration system, so he could become a citizen.  So add polygamy and immigration fraud to the list.  BTW, if you did not already know -- polygamy is a tenant of the muslim faith, as is sharia law.

This is not Mogadishu, it is America, assimilate or leave!

Minnesota Fraud:

$30 million went to Ilhan Omar, the amount she just disclosed as her net worth for 2024.  A 3,500% increase in net worth last year, compared to 2023, and a negative net worth of -$45,000 in 2019 her first year in Congress.

Ilhan Omar married Timothy Minette in 2020. Mynett is a political consultant and fundraiser for politicians. According to his firm’s website, he has raised more than US$100 million for a number of organizations, and has also worked with Angelina Jolie’s Global Action for Children foundation. On top of that, he’s an alumni of The University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, and is said to have deep connections in both Washington DC and Hollywood.
Tim Mynett’s legal troubles: In June, the Minnesota Reformer reported that Mynett and his business partner, Will Hailer, were accused of fraud and breach of contract in relation to their wine and marijuana business ventures. Not only have their enterprises since collapsed, the pair are facing multiple lawsuits.

Ilhan Omar was forced to cut a contract with Mynett’s firm, E Street Group, in 2020. It was revealed that her campaign had paid the company nearly US$3 million for services including fundraising consultation, digital communications, internet advertising and travel expenses.

Ihan Omar's husband Tim Mynette, and his business partner Hailer worked for Omar’s predecessor, Keith Ellison (Minnesota Attorney General and ardent Muslim). Meanwhile, Mynett told Minnesota Reformer that he and Hailer moved from politics into business to understand how advertising strategies could inform political ones.

Don't downplay the fraud to fit your narrative.  Calling them collectively "garbage" may be a good thing.  It will cause a hard reset within their community.  Somalis need to learn to assimilate to our culture, just like other immigrants before them.  In the past you were targeted and beat down until you learned to follow the rules of society and common decency.  It's a timeless immigrant learning process, since the beginning of our country.  Keep your head down, don't make waves, learn the culture.

The centerpiece scandal is the Feeding Our Future case, where approximately $300 million intended to feed low-income children during the pandemic was siphoned away in what federal prosecutors describe as the largest pandemic-relief fraud scheme charged in U.S. history.

Some of the shell companies and meal sites were operated by Somali Minnesotans, prosecutors say, though to be fair -- the alleged ringleader,  Aimee Bock — is a White American.

This also begs the need to invstigate ALL non-profit dot orgs which are the primary vehicle for perpetuating this type of fraud.

Tax the Rich as a Socialist Solution

The Brits should have listened to one of their own:  “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” -Margaret Thatcher

In Minnesota, the super-rich and their tax revenue are chased out of the state with the threat of even higher taxes, it will fall upon the rest of us to pay more towards public services to fill the gap in the Treasury’s intake.

A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities. Thomas Jefferson

"The vocabulary of the political left is fascinating. For example, it is considered to be 'materialistic' and 'greedy' to want to keep what you have earned. But it is 'idealistic' to want to take away what someone else has earned and spend it for your own political benefit or to feel good about yourself." ~ Thomas Sowell

Infinite Outdoors

So, are you turning the land you purchase over to the government to make it public lands, or are you the next Nature Conservancy? The checkerboard land allotment goes back to the railroad barons pushing westward back in the pioneer days. Not good or bad, just the way things are. I'm just wary of crowdsourced land purchaseing dot ORGs after seeing what the Nature Conservancy has done across the West. The Nature Conservancy is the largest private landowners in the USA and doesn't allow anyone on their lands except for rich donors as their private playground.

DSA - Democratic Socialists of America

DSA - Democratic Socialists of America are mobilizing in the big cities like Minneapolis.  They are getting on city council and defunding police and driving away private business.   This is their game plan.  Subsidized housing for everyone and no private enterprise.  In broad daylight.  The must be stopped.

The real problem is Ilhan Omar.  DSA - Democratic Socialists of America.  They have taken over the city council in your state's cities.  They advocate Abolish the Police and are anti-small business.  They want all housing to be subsidized..

Here's an Example:

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty announced her office will no longer prosecute cases that stem from non-public-safety traffic stops

In practice, this means that if an officer pulls over a driver for something like expired tabs, and finds a more serious crime (including felony gun possession and drug charges), will no longer be pursued by the county attorney.

Now let's discuss Antifa Fashion, or lack thereof. My favorite is Minnesota AG Keith Ellison clutching his copy of the Atifa Handbook along with his other Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) members.

Gas vs. EV Vehicle Cost at the Pump (or Charger).

EV= $.0625/mile or 6.25 cents per mile (using 25 kWh per 100 miles at $0.25 per kWh at charger -- cheapest rate).

EV = $0.15/mile or 15.0 cents per mile (using 25 kWh per 100 miles a $0.60 per kWh at charger -- most expensive rate). Gas = $0.0997 or 10 cents per mile (using $2.99/gallon at 30 mpg).

DEI and Woke

Diversity, equity and inclusion sounds righteous and virtuous. Unfortunately, it's built on the premise that a group of individuals is not equipped to compete on a level playing field because they are cosmetically, culturally or socioeconomically different from you, and thus must need additional assistance. The problem is that premise is flawed and not based on content of character or innate ability and is therefore essentially subversively racist.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs are gift giving to someone deemed somehow less capable. Equal Opportunity is something offered without bias to anyone with the motivation to put the work in and better themselves.

Since woke is all about child grooming and indoctrination, this quote by the leader of the Catholic church Leo VII seems to be very awkward, especially with that sects leadership and their issues with child molestation in the very recent past. Definitely cringe-worthy.

Ban Professional Fishing

I'm hoping they outlaw professional tournament fishing on Lake Francis Case and all of the Missouri River impoundments. This is a shared resource with other taxpayer /citizens that critically depletes the resource for your average fisherman and tourist fisherman. Nobody cares about pro fishing except maybe these fisherman themselves. They should have to make big financial donations to South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks for reparation of the resource.

"State of Fear"

Climate has been changing since the beginning of time, otherwise how would you explain the Ice Ages, etc.  Stop the fear mongering to support your political bias.

I'm beyond sick of mainstream legacy media with their biased and political agenda focused so-called news. Their "demonizing" of Trump has created a "Trump Derangement Syndrome" that is nothing short of mass-induced brainwashing.

They can't just disagree with him, they have to create a "State of Fear" induced mania.

That is how both George Orwell in his book "1984" and Michael Crichton in "State of Fear" both predicted this fear-based dystopian segment of society.

GARP Stocks

Investors typically view growth and value as two totally distinct equity types.

But there's a style that seeks to identify both characteristics in a single stock. Growth at a reasonable price, or GARP, was popularized by Peter Lynch, the legendary former manager of Fidelity Magellan Fund (FMAGX). During his 13 years at the fund's helm, ending in 1990, the fund returned an annualized 29.2%, more than double the S&P 500's performance during that period.

The key to identifying GARP stocks is to screen for stocks with higher growth rates than the broader market and lower-than-average valuations.

In its GARP screen, Fidelity filters for criteria including:

  • Quarterly and yearly earnings growth.
  • Earnings growth forecasts.
  • Price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.
  • Price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratio.
  • Security price.
  • 90-day average trading volume.

Environmental Studies Major.

Well, at least it's not an "Environmental Studies" major, which is basically activism training and has very little to do with Biology. So that's something.

Save your money and get a REAL Biology degree, not a degree in activism!

Forgiveness.

Forgiveness Is a Gift You Give Yourself: One of the most powerful moments in the audiobook was Livingston’s perspective on forgiveness. He had seen patients carry grudges for years, holding onto anger like a shield. But all it did was make them bitter. Forgiveness, he explained, isn’t about letting the other person off the hook. It’s about freeing yourself from the weight of resentment. It’s not easy. But it’s necessary. Because in the end, anger chains you to the past. And life is too short to stay stuck there.

Madeline's Wedding Toast.

I just want to say thank you to everyone or making the trip out to this beautiful black hills. And cheers!

I'm going to take a minute to tell you guys a little story. About 3 years ago we were gathering in Chamberlain for our annual week long 4th of July celebration. And while we were getting prepared Madeline called and said she wanted to bring Sean for the week.

Well we had met Sean once before and they'd been dating a few months so we said yeah that's okay.

So everybody showed up at Grandma's house and Madeline and Sean came pulling up and took Sean's hand and said hi. And two Sean's credit he was very respectful and polite so he had that going for him.

Well we stayed the week and had our usual great time and when fishing and boating and got together for the big picnic on the 4th of July and it was a great week.

On that last day when we were packing up and getting ready to return home, is upstairs in grandma's house and Sean came up and said Dave I'd like to have a word with you. I said sure Sean what is it, what's up? So Sean very seriously and earnestly looked me in the eye and said well I have had a great weekend and love this family and had so much fun and I'd like to ask you a question.

So I said sure go ahead. Sean said well you know how I feel about Madeline and I think she's wonderful and I'd like to ask you permission to marry her.

Now I didn't respond right away, mostly because I was in total shock. And after about a minute or two I looked at Sean and shaking my head (I think I made a really strange face, something like this) and said well Sean I think I need you need to talk to Mama Terri about this. Kind of reminded me of a saying my dad said my grandpa liked to say " they don't put old heads on young shoulders".

So I got Terri alone and said wow you're not going to believe this but Sean just asked me permission to marry Madeline. Well then Terri made a face something like this.
We talked, and Terri said one word after making that face -- and that was "No! ".

So, we had a talk with Sean and Madeline and said, you know you guys, you need to get to know each other a little better and you know you need to see each other in your not just during your happiest days but also on your hardest days and that'll really give you a measure of if you know this other person.

So, well here we are 3 years later and hey it's crazy isn't it?  It's got me thinking you know, "How do you know that this one is the one?". How do you know, right?

I had a cellular biology professor that showed us two slides under a microscope. One dead, one alive. He asked: What gives the one that's alive that spark of life. Is it just a chemical reaction? No, he said. Life is proof of a higher being with a plan. That spark of life in that cell he said, "That's God".

I guess you know after all these years being married 37 I still can't answer that question. Is it physical, metaphysical, chemical or logical? is it emotional? I don't really know.  I do like to think, just like that living cell, God is the spark of life between two people.

And I do know this, somehow you just know!

So I'd like to propose a toast we're going to take a drink and take a few seconds to ponder those mysteries of life.

And in honor of my grandma Mildetta O'Hara Shogren, I'd like to leave you with a small piece of advice and an old Irish toast:

May the wind always be at your back,
May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow
May the soft winds freshen your spirit
May the sunshine brighten your heart
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love."

Cheers and welcome to the family Sean and congratulations to both of you!

Spark of Life

God's plan can also include evolution.

I had a cellular biology professor that showed us two slides under a microscope. One dead, one alive. He asked: What gives the one that's alive that spark of life. Is it just a chemical reaction? No, he said. Life is proof of a higher being with a plan. That spark of life in that cell he said, that's God.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics expounds that all things trend toward a state of chaos. But not life. It has evolved not toward chaos, but toward perfection.

That spark of life in that cell? That's God.

Did God direct creation? He is the creator of the universe, so of course he can and did! Believe and be humble, and he will reveal this to you as well!
